How Does Catalyst Work?
1. The Everything DiSC Assessment
Learners are welcomed onto the platform with a user-friendly onboarding process that quickly guides them to the assessment questions.
The assessment takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes. If learners have already completed an Everything DiSC assessment in the past, it will be taken into account and they will only need to answer a few additional questions, which takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
Catalyst delivers a comprehensive and extended assessment covering the core DiSC questions as well as the priorities specific to each Everything DiSC® programme: Workplace, Productive Conflict, Management, and Agile EQ. This breadth allows for deeper learning and lasting behavior change.
2. The Learning Platform
Your DiSC Style
Participants explore the DiSC map, see where their dot is placed, and can learn more about their style. They can choose to listen to a podcast about their specific style or download the PDF version of their report.
People
In the "People" section, you have access to all members of your organisation at a glance. Each person's card shows their name, their style, and a few key points about them. You can search for people and sort them by name, style, date, or department.
Selecting a person takes you to a page where you can better understand their priorities and stressors, see your similarities and differences across various continuums, and get practical tips for working together more effectively.
This is an ideal space to revisit regularly — before an important meeting, when starting a new collaboration, or in a moment of tension. A few minutes of preparation with Catalyst can transform the quality of an interaction.
Workplace
Learners find their personalised Workplace profile content structured into three learning modules:
- How You Work: priorities, motivators, stressors, and strategies to stretch beyond your natural style.
- Understanding Your Relationships: how each style relates to yours, including videos of people from each style.
- Building Better Relationships: strategies for connecting, problem-solving, and navigating tense situations with each style.
DiSC-ology
This section guides learners through the DiSC model and the theory behind it — the DiSC model itself, the 12 styles, research, theory, and history. A useful conceptual foundation for participants who want to deepen their understanding.
3. Your DiSC Profile
The 23-page profile gives participants an overview and concrete strategies for building relationships and being more effective at work. On Catalyst, the personalised content is structured in modules that align with the facilitation materials, reinforcing continuity between the training session and self-directed learning.
4. Facilitator Resources
The Workplace on Catalyst facilitation tools offer options for both in-person and virtual sessions. The facilitation materials can be downloaded free of charge if you have purchased and registered an Everything DiSC® Workplace Facilitation Kit. The core concepts remain the same, but certain activities have been adapted to deliver a rich experience in a virtual environment, with the option to run several shorter sessions as an alternative to a full-day format.
